With the cancelation of Southland, speculation arose Chuck could return sooner than later. While it appears Chuck will not becoming back this November, good news came out today regarding the resurgent show.

First, Chuck fans will be pleased to hear that Chuck himself, Zachary Levi, will be directing the 9th episode of the third season. Levi recently produced a short entitled "The Chase" which aired during NBC's The Biggest Loser.

Even better news, Chuck has officially been picked up for six more episodes, bringing it from 13 to 19. With more episodes, speculation is now growing that Chuck is likely to return in January instead of the original return set for March. Nothing is official as of this time, but six additional episodes will certainly add some more wood to the fire.
